The probe will be due by Oct. 23, 2010, and be extended to April 23 of 2011 under special circumstances.

MOFCOM said it received the probe application filed by the Nuctech Company Limited, China's leading inspection equipment maker, on Aug. 28, 2008.

The ministry said it decided to start the investigation after examination.
